Good Evening/Song Of The Day: Supertramp - “The Logical Song”

Well the good news is I’m finally on vacation.  The bad news is how long will it take before work tries to intrude on it.  I give it 12 hours…

Okay, we’re gonna start with a song running on my phone lately.  To me, its as topical as ever.

a miracle.  Oh, it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they’d be singing so happily,
joyfully, playfully - watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be Sensible.
Logical.  Oh, Responsible.  Practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so Dependable.
Clinical.  Oh, Intellectual.  Cynical.

There are times when all the world’s asleep,
the questions run too deep
for such a simple man.

I know it sounds absurd -
but please tell me who I am.

I said what would you say they’ll be calling you “A Radical”.
“A Liberal.”  “Fanatical “  “Criminal.”?

accept-able, respect-able, present-able, a vegat-able!

At night, when all the world’s asleep,

for such a simple man.

Who I am.  Who I Am!  WHO I AM!

Cause I’m feeling so Illogical.  Digital.  So unbelievable…
